The Safua Hotel is located down a quiet track on the mountain side of the coastal road, about 5 miles north of Salelologa Town. Set in landscaped tropical gardens, we offer 6 bungalows with kitchenette and private bathroom (cold water only).
Our superior bungalows have a living area with queen size bed or twin beds plus a side room with single bed. A second single bed can be arranged to accommodate families.
Safua Hotel is a good base for budget travellers looking to explore the island, or for larger groups. We are a three minute stroll to the coast where a large tidal swimming pool is your to enjoy. There is no beach along this part of the coast and no swimming ion the lagoon.

Getting There:
Polynesian Airlines offers fights from Faleolo Intternational Airport on the north west coast of Upolu to Moata Airport, about five km from Salelologa Town on the south eastern tip of Savai'i. Cost is about ST$50 one way with five flights per day and take just 20 minutes offering aerial sightseeing on the way. Ferries depart Mulifanua Wharf on eastern Upolu five times a day, costing just ST$7 one way and taking 1 hour and 15 minutes. There's a twice daily fast ferry taking just 45-minutes and costing a couple dollars more.
A taxi direct to Safua Hotel from Salelologa Wharf will cost about ST$10 (takes 20 minutes).
When in Salelologa, be sure to visit the Green Turtle Office across the road from the wharf for tourist information and round-the-island sightseeing tours or hop-on / hop-off travel passes.
Car rental is best arranged from Apia and brought with you on the ferry.
There is a limited bus service to Manase but you will probably find one awaiting the ferry at Salelologa Wharf, although it is likely to be crowded.
